| SW 846 EPA Method 5035 is now mandated for use by many states. The method's
principal purpose is to reduce the amount of disturbance when collecting
solid/soil samples for the analysis of Volatile Organic compounds (VOCs). C & G Containers, Inc. and its Pre-Clean Division provide several sampling and collection devices that are applicable to the method requirements. The En Core® sampling vessel(s) and the Terra Core™ sampling tool with the associated C & G Vial Kit . The En Core® sold in five (5) or twenty-five (25) gram sizes are "one time" use and may be applied as a short-time holding vessel based on its material composition and construction. Additionally, stainless steel T-Handles and Extrusion tools are available for purchase. The Terra Core™ sampling tool and the C & G Vial Kit are assembled together and sold by C & G Containers. The C & G Vial Kit allows for immediate extrusion from the Terra Core™ sampler into a variety of 40 ml vials (up to five slots) with Teflon stir bars as applicable, requested pre-weighed, pre-inoculated preservatives of Methanol (red closure), Sodium bi-sulfate (green closure), and for effervescent samples, the option of ASTM Type I Water (white closure). Containers are labeled with specific preservation, identification and bar-coded stickers. Included, is a 60cc bottle with Teflon closure liner for moisture determination and/or screening. All glass containers are pre-cleaned and certified under Protocol B Level 1. A Certificate of Analysis and protocol Certificate are included with each customized Terra Core™ C & G Vial Kit . Terra Core kits are shrink-wrapped in single units and packed in Boxes of 3, 4,and 8. |
